Saturday, 20 November 2021 - Sunday, 21 November 2021

Greetings from snowy Christchurch

Following on from our very successful Lake Coleridge gravel road run in June, we are delighted to confirm that committee member Richard Rutherford has arranged a run through Molesworth Station for Sunday 21 November.  The run is, sadly, not suitable for your 911, 912, 914, Boxster or Cayman but is eminently suitable for your 4WD or 2WD vehicle with adequate ground clearance or even your suitable motorcycle.  It is a 200km gravel road drive and will take about 4 hours driving.

The plan is to travel to Blenheim on Saturday 20 November, have a casual get together and dinner.  On Sunday 21 November, we'll travel through Molesworth Station to Hanmer.

We have arranged accommodation at Hanmer for a get together that night.

We recommend arranging a Subway lunch from Blenheim (nearby the motels)- there are no BK, McD, KFC or other fast food joints in Molesworth.

We have pencilled in 12 rooms at the Blenheim Palms Motel which is central in Blenheim.  Lugano Motor Lodge, Chateau Marlborough and Scenic Hotel Marlborough are all very close by.

Past President and Blenheim local Andrew Anderson has arranged dinner for us at his favourite German pub that night.

So, if you'd like to be part of the event:

1.  Let us know by email at that you're in, and if you'll stay on in Hanmer. There is no cost other than your accommodation and food, paid to the vendors.

2.  Phone Blenheim Palms (03 5778845) and tell them you want one of the rooms pencilled for the Porsche Club.  If they are full, try Lugano (03 5778808) or Chateau Marlborough or Scenic Marlborough.

3. If you plan to stay the night in Hanmer, call the Alpine Lodge Motel in Hanmer - Studios for $140 and Chalets for $165.  Phone 03 315 7311 and tell them that you want one of the Porsche rooms.   If they have filled all the rooms, they have a backup plan with an adjacent property.
