Sunday 13 December 2020, 11:30 am

We have decided to make it a low key affair - i.e. not a big flash catered lunch, and instead, we will have a selection of casual lunch dishes (able to be eaten by hand) from the great team at Munch Me catering.

Andy Bain and Jeremy Evans have generously offered us the use of their wonderful property at Balcairn, so a great day is in store.

The charge will be $15 per adult and teenager, $10 for 5 – 12-year-olds. Under 5-year-olds will be free.

Please bring your own liquid refreshments and glasses, etc. It would also be an excellent idea to bring your own picnic chairs, picnic rug, and even sun umbrellas if you want them, etc.

We will have some activities for children and the larrikin older children (who drive Boxsters, Andrew D…). We’ll bring Petanque balls and maybe the croquet, too.

Santa (with a genuine white beard) is expected to arrive in a red sleigh (Porsche Cabrio) with gifts for the (under 12) children.

The response from members has been wonderful, with 62 adults and 8 children registered. This number would have made collecting cash on the day unwieldy, so we ask that you please confirm your attendance by paying the Club via the link on this page. This will make it much easier for your committee on the day.

If you haven’t already advised us, please tell us the name and age of any under 12s, please.

We will send you instructions on how to get to Andy and Jeremy’s property directly next week. There are two possible routes, one does not involve unsealed roads. The plan is to meet at the Belfast Tavern car park at 10:30 am on Sunday 13 December for a quick drive up to Balcairn.

In the event of Force Majeure, we’ll advise any changes on the day on the club Facebook page:

Cheers Graeme Lindsay
