Probably the best-kept secret in PCNZ is SWOTS - the Southern Weekend of the Summer, held in the South Island for the last four years. It's another weekend away - just like SWOTY (and WOTY) but is held in late summer. The four SWOTS weekends so far (Oamaru, West Coast, Blenheim and Cromwell) have all very successful and we are now heavy into planning for 2021.
We have reserved 40 rooms at the Heritage Rutherford Hotel in Nelson ($185 per night) and are waitlisted for another 10 rooms.
To assist us with planning, we really need to get an idea of potential numbers, so we invite you to register your Expression of Interest now and pay a small ($50 per person) deposit. We may have to limit attendees so, given that we work on the First In, First Served rule, if you'd like to attend, we suggest that you register your EOI quickly.
You should then phone the Rutherford (03 548 2299) and book your room. Tell them that you are taking one of the Porsche Club rooms.
As worked so well at SWOTY 2020 earlier this month, the weekend will consist of a day of Porsche driving activity followed by a casual day to allow you to enjoy the attractions and activities available in the lovely Nelson region. Remember that Nelson is renowned for the sunshine hours, but we can't guarantee the weather.
We have changed the dates from those announced at SWOTY to avoid conflicts with Southern Festival of Speed Classic race meeting at Timaru and the Speedworx Manfield race meeting.
The new dates are 19 - 22 February 2021.
Full details of the program will follow as we get things set up.
We still welcome your reigstration but you will now be placed on the waitlist: Register here
