Porsche Factory Tours
Planning a visit
to Germany?
Want to visit the Porsche factory?
Heres the good oil on how to get there.
If you are not a financial member of a Porsche Club, you will need to join a public tour of the factory (or a Porsche Club). These are available when time permits and tour guides are available etc. For further details, you will need to contact the Porsche Factory Museum at Zuffenhausen on your arrival in Germany. All tours commence from the Factory Museum, which is clearly marked.
In our experience, public tours appear to take place only if factory personnel have time and there is no new development going on in the factory. On occasions, they will join a member of the public with some other group that is being taken through at the time. However, this is done at the time and just pure good luck! Porsche is only a small factory and not really set up for official tours, unlike Mercedes who run factory tours at set times, making guided tours a part of their business.
If you are a financial member of a Porsche Club (not necessarily ours) you have a better chance of getting on a tour of the factory.
You should contact your own Porsche Club for a certificate verifying your current member status. Remember you must be a financial member. You should send this certificate, along with a letter advising the date you wish to visit the factory, to the Porsche Club Coordinator at least two months in advance of your visit. Contact details for the Porsche Club Coordinator are only available from your own Porsche Club.
Upon receipt of this information, Porsche Club Coordination will endeavour to reserve you a place in one of the guided tours organised by the Press Department. Remember though that numbers on these tours are limited, so this can only be done if plenty of notice is given and space is available.
So, if you are a Porsche Club of New Zealand member e-mail us now stating what you want to do. We'll send you a membership certificate along with the contact details for the Porsche Club Coordinator.
We hope this helps in the planning of your trip.
Please feel free to contact us via e-mail.
