1990 964 RSR (15/10/08)

This well known proven performer is ideally set up for both Club and Track work. It is light {approximately 1040 Kgs} with fully sorted suspension and brakes and just “run-in” kilometers on its recently rebuilt engine. Whilst RS models are offered from time to time vehicles similar to this are rarely seen.

Alan Hamilton, who at the time owned Porsche Melbourne, had the car hand built on a C2 chassis using original RSR components and it was Alan’s personal race car for many seasons.

Peter McRae bought the car early in 2000 and won Class B in the Porsche Driver’s Challenge in 2001 in the car.

In April 2003 Peter sold the car to Matthew Stoupas {Weltmeister} and for the next two years it was run predominantly in Club events until sold to Graham Gorman in May 2005. Graham ran it in Club, Marque Sport Car and Australian GT Series events winning Class A in the Bathurst round of the Australian GT Series in April 2006.

The vehicle is road registered, complete with 3 sets of Simmons wheels and presented in very clean and straight condition ready to compete. There is absolutely nothing to spend on this car. The engine has recently undergone a complete rebuild under the expert supervision of Ben Faggetter from Weltmeister Motor Sport. The clutch has also been replaced.

The car meets the specifications in Class B of the recently introduced GT3 Cup Challenge where it would be a very competitive vehicle. It would also be competitive in other State or National Series for naturally aspirated vehicles or can simply be enjoyed as an exceptional Club or road car.   Price P.O.A

Porsche 944 Turbo(20/8/08)

This is one of the front running Bridgestone series cars but being right hand drive it would also make a brilliant Targa campaigner. Currently in Bridgestone Class A spec, 320hp, but has held lap records in both class A and B spec. This is a highly competitive car and will get great TV coverage this season. It has always been prepared and maintained by 944 specialist Steve Gross to be able to be driven to and from competition rounds.
Current owner has enjoyed it for 8 years but now wants to concentrate on endurance racing.

The car has been completely stripped and lightened with endurance racing and the Porsche Bridgestone series in mind. All body coatings/underseal removed, this is one of the lighest 944 race cars availiale with a dry weight of around 1100kg (carring around 100kgs of ballast in class C) A full rebuild was undertaken in 2006,with a colour change of the complete car. Leda Suspension has been fitted along with up graded Torison bars and sway bars. The 3.0 S2 engine and transmission with LSD were rebuilt with many new parts fitted. The ECU has been re chipped and a free flow sports exhaust system fitted. The fuel tank has Dual fill and vent system for quick fill (75 litres in 40 seconds). It is fitted with a full Aim MXL Data logging system including track mapping. For the past 2 years this car has been maintained to a very high standard and full service records are available to verify this. This car has a number of class wins in the NI Endurance and the PCNZ Bridgstone reace series. It was the 2005 Bridgstone Championship winning car.Comes with Race car trailer and tyre
